WESST Employees Rally to Meet Job Creation Challenge
In a recent “Invest in WESST” fundraising initiative, WESST employees rallied to raise funds on behalf of WESST’s Job Creation Challenge. The initiative provides an opportunity for sponsors, including US Bank, Wells Fargo and Bank of the West, to match donations to WESST in the amount of $5,000. As result of the sponsor match, donors meeting the $5,000 amount are recognized at the $10,000 giving level.
Only a few weeks after the initiative was announced, several organizations have already met the challenge, including a collective group of WESST employees. “The generous response of WESST staff is a testament to their dedication and passion to help small businesses succeed,” says Ann Utterback, WESST VP of Development.
The Invest in WESST Job Creation Challenge is part of WESST’s ongoing efforts to help rebuild New Mexico’s economy through the creation of sustainable small business jobs. In 2011, WESST helped create 380 jobs and nearly $20 million in personal income in the Albuquerque area alone.
