By Katie Knipe | December 16, 2020
On December 9, WESST’s partners at KOB 4 hosted “BE INSPIRED to innovate and adapt your business,” a virtual event designed to inspire and uplift small business owners and provide some helpful takeaways to help them pivot and adjust to this ever-changing economic climate. WESST is proud of our wonderful client, Michelle Martin, owner of Circle Round Boutique in Corrales, who shared her experience about opening a business in the midst of this pandemic. Michelle opened her shop two weeks before the virus forced the state’s stay-at-home order. She quickly pivoted to selling online and has fully embraced e-commerce and social media to stay afloat. Despite these challenges, Michelle has persevered and was gracious enough to share her story with other small business owners. John Hass of M’tucci’s Restaurants and Paola Huffmon of Old Barrell Tea Company joined Michelle to provide additional small business owner perspectives and share how they innovated to survive. Thank you, Michelle, John and Paola, for sharing your experiences and advice to help other small business owners in our community!
WESST partners Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, UNM Anderson School of Management and Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. shared presentations designed to help small business owners create a COVID-safe workspace and provided resources to help businesses adapt. Thank you, KOB, for inspiring our community and supporting small businesses!
