WESST Selected to Provide HP LIFE Training to Entrepreneurs
WESST has been selected by HP as the New Mexico training site for its HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE). HP Life is a global program for training students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and small business owners to harness the power of IT to establish and grow their business, helping them build successful companies and create jobs.
“We are extremely honored to have been selected by HP to host this world-class entrepreneur and business training program,” said Agnes Noonan, President of WESST. “HP Life is currently being offered also in Asia and Europe. WESST is a great fit for this program in light of the extensive training we provide for entrepreneurs.”
HP LIFE is a unique program that uses real life examples of business problems and shows how to leverage technology and open source software to help solve those problems allowing small businesses to grow and succeed. This program features “hands on” use of computers provided through a donation by Hewlett-Packard Corporation, and provides resource-rich information that enables small business owners to harness the power of IT to establish and grow their businesses.
Featured training modules include finance, operations, marketing and communications. Many more HP Life training modules will be made available through WESST trainers. WESST’s first training will start on January 23, 2011 with the Marketing Series.
