This month on our blog series, we are featuring Santa Fe Program Coordinator and Trainer, Roseanna Perea. We hope you enjoy!
What made you want to come to work for WESST?
When I read the ad in the paper I had no knowledge of WESST, but it sounded very fascinating. While visiting the website I knew that I would enjoy my duties and believed I could contribute. Six years later, I come to work happy and excited for the next chance meeting I may have with the most amazing people.
What was your very first job?
I was 12 years old and “taking care of a music shop on Canyon Rd.” on Saturdays. This would give the owners a chance to run errands or complete bookwork.
What’s your favorite part of working here?
That’s a difficult question – because there’s a lot I like about my job. Every day is a new and greater challenge! I enjoy giving direct support to people who are either searching for their entrepreneurial spirit or need someone with an open mind to listen and assist in a way that really makes a difference. With the assistance of management and TEAM WESST, the contribution we make is vital to our clients and their ability to make key decisions which ultimately influence the overall success personal or professional. I enjoy the challenge, responsibility and the methodical and precise approach, which is necessary for me to deliver the core values of WESST.
What do you do when you’re not working?
My days off are an important time to unplug from the day-to-day routine and enjoy myself, then I am rested and ready to go back to work. You can find me reading, cooking or watching any type of activity that family or friends are involved in. In a gym, park or on a stage.
What do you wish people knew about WESST?
WESST is a proven leader in NM in regards to helping entrepreneurs succeed. But on top of that, each region, each person at WESST is passionate about helping clients and bring extensive knowledge they have gained to create a supportive and collaborative effort.
